Sainte Croix Beach - Martigues

This fine sandy beach is one of the most beautiful beaches around Marseille.

A family beach

Located between Sausset-les-Pins and Martigues, it is ideal for families with children. It is monitored during the summer and its waters are shallow.

Sainte Croix beach offers an idyllic setting with its very clean turquoise waters and its beach surrounded by pines which offers shaded areas that are very pleasant in summer. 100 meters long and 40 meters wide, it is the perfect setting for a family picnic. A small white chapel is built in  this idyllic landscape.

It has showers and toilets and its car park makes it easy to access. Be careful, it is not free in summer.

And if you want a little ice cream, the restaurants nearby will be perfect for you.

Around the Sainte Croix Beach

The beach is crossed by a coastal path, the Chemin du Four à Chaux. In fact, if you are a fan of the french TV show Camping Paradis, take a walk on the beach of La Saulce. The two beaches are separated by a rock. In addition to the magnificent landscape, Saulce beach is the setting for the series. It is shorter but wider than its neighbour and is easily accessible for people with reduced mobility. Feel free to visit it ;-)

Be careful, however, like all the beautiful beaches on the Marseille coast, Sainte Croix Beach is very popular and in summer the beach is very busy! So be sure to come early to enjoy the morning calm.
