The Sausset-les-Pins beaches

Sausset-les-Pins is one of the most important seaside and tourist resorts on the Côte Bleue. For those who love swimming in Marseille, you will love Sausset-les-pins, its coves and sheltered beaches are located between the coastal city and La Couronne, at only 30 minutes from the beaches of Marseille.

In Sausset-les-Pins, you can walk along the cornice. You will be able to contemplate magnificent panoramas of Marseille Bay and its islands.

Baumettes beach

It is one of the biggest beaches in Sausset les Pins. Baumettes beach is located to the east, on the side of Carry le Rouet. It is made of sand and small gravel. It has free parking but due to the crowded summer season, it is recommended to go there early to be sure to have a place. The advantage of this beach is that it has access for disabled people. You can also enjoy a meal while relaxing in front of the the sea.

Le Four à Chaud beach

It is located on the road between Sausset les Pins and La Couronne that borders the seaside. The Four à Chaux beach is very popular and is very crowded during the summer period. To get there, you will have to go down a small staircase that will bring you to this small creek of pebbles. It has free parking.

Le Petit Nid beach

This small pebble beach is located in the cove of the Petit Nid, which you will find on your way to La Couronne. It is very appreciated especially when it is windy. It is a popular place for sea urchin lovers. The beach has public showers and free parking.

Le Grand Rouveau beach

It is in the cove of Le Grand Rouveau where you will find this small pebble beach. It is accessible via the pavilion area, thanks to a small path that leads down to the beach by stairs. Don't be surprised, this beach is often covered with a layer of posidonia, an aquatic plant. To park, you will find a small car park nearby, on the Promenade de la Corniche.

La Corniche beach

La Corniche beach is located in the center of Sausset les Pins. It is composed of sand but also pebbles. On site, you will have all the amenities: showers, toilets, first aid station, restaurants on the beach, a private beach but also access for people with reduced mobility.

Le Port beach

Located just after the harbour, towards the Crown, this cobble beach is very rocky. Moreover, as it is not supervised, it is not recommended for families with children. You can park nearby thanks to its free parking and showers are available for rinsing.

Le Grand Nid beach

To get there, nothing could be easier, it is located just after the Le Petit Nid beach, towards the Crown. It is a pebble beach, very well protected from the wind. A car park and access ramps for people with reduced mobility have been set up to facilitate access.

To get around, did you know that the Blue Coast train stops in Sausset-les-Pins? The rails run along the coast for 32 km from Marseille to Miramas. Viaducts and tunnels, panoramas and creeks line the train's route, for your greatest pleasure.
